April Oriental Dancer presents Club Farah – Cairo Cabaret
April Oriental Dancer has been selected once again as a recipient of an artist grant to present Club Farah – Cairo Cabaret in the Adelaide Fringe 2025! 28th Feb to 2nd March at Diverse-City, Adelaide.
Club Farah returns after it’s sell out first season with a modern re-imagining of a golden-age Cairo cabaret show. Packed with a variety of sparkling dances from around Egypt and the Middle East, Club Farah features an exciting lineup of fresh local Oriental dance talent, Persian guest performers, plus spectacular live drumming (darbuka) by Harry Trikaliotis. With rich Middle Eastern music, dynamic rhythms, flashy props, glittering costumes and brand new routines, Club Farah aims to not only entertain, but to truly immerse the audience in a vibrant cultural experience.
In loving memory of Kadia, international star Oriental dance artist and founding member of the Club Farah team. This show features some of her brilliant choreographic works.
Join us on Friday or Saturday night for the show only, or come along to our fabulous Sunday afternoon show and stay to meet the team for some’ sips and dips’ at our glorious rooftop cocktail venue decked out with a pool! Get tickets here!
2025 Kid’s Classes
Taking Expressions of Interest
We’re now taking expressions of interest for kid’s classes with Sarah in 2025!
Oriental dance is a great form of non-competitive dancing for young ones from 5 years old. It’s a great way for children to build confidence and coordination, and to express themselves in a supportive environment. Kids oriental dance classes are a great way to introduce them to a different culture and music, and are more about having fun than about serious technique.
Sarah has a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and children have always been drawn to her! A beautiful Oriental dancer herself with a bubbly personality, Sarah’s extensive experience working with children as an educator, play therapist and in childcare makes her the perfect teacher to introduce young ones to this dance! Located in St Peters, Beginners Bellydance at The Dance Pad offers a more central location to come and learn the fundamentals of Oriental dance with me!

In this modern reimagining of a golden-age Cairo Cabaret show, Club Farah presents a variety of stage and folk dances from around Egypt and the Middle East, with touches of other cultural styles that have influenced the artists on stage. Be entertained by live musicians, exciting props and sparkling costumes in a vibrant show of glamour, music and culture.
Featuring international star Oriental and Uyghur dance artist and choreographer, Kadia, exciting local Oriental and guest dancers plus brilliant percussionists incl. Harry Trikaliotis.
